TheIS420YVIBS1B is one version of available unmanaged ethernet switches designed and manufactured by General Electric for use within their Mark VIe turbine control system.  The Mark VIe is designed so it can effectively manage a single turbine as easily as it can an entire plant.  The system can be built in Simplex form, or with TMR (triple modular redundant) architecture depending on the needs of the associated turbine system.

TheIS420YVIBS1B, which is one of five available versions of the ESWB switch, has sixteen individual ports that each support 10/100Base-tx connections.  The unit also offers 100 Mbps FX uplink and full-duplex and half-duplex auto-negotiation.  The unit is compatible with 802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3x Ethernet.   This module is built as a single unit with all ports located on one side in two lines of eight.  Each port is numbered.  Additionally, each port offers its own LED indicators that allow users to notate the presence of activity, link, and speed within that port.  There is a single LED indicator located at the end of the Ethernet ports for indicating power to the entire unit and other diagnostic LEDs for Activity located at their other end.
